Bollywood celebrities and their families have a well-known penchant for investing in luxurious properties in prime locations. Aryan Khan, the son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has recently joined this elite group by making a significant real estate acquisition in Delhi. According to reports, Aryan has purchased two floors in the prestigious Panchsheel Park locality in South Delhi for a hefty sum of Rs. 37 crores. The Economic Times has revealed that Aryan’s new property is particularly noteworthy because it holds sentimental value for the Khan family. This building is where his mother, Gauri Khan, lived before her marriage to Shah Rukh Khan. The Khan family already owns the basement and ground floor of this building, thereby consolidating their presence in this upscale neighborhood. The property purchase was officially registered in May 2024, with Aryan paying Rs. 2.64 crores in stamp duty. Adding a personal touch to this luxurious space, the house has been designed by Gauri Khan herself. Aryan’s sister, Suhana Khan, has also made notable property investments. In June 2023, she acquired a 1.5-acre property with three houses in Alibaug for Rs. 12.91 crores, located adjacent to their father Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow. Earlier this year, Suhana expanded her holdings in Alibaug by purchasing another land parcel for over Rs. 10 crores. While many celebrities prefer investing in properties in locations like Alibaug and Goa, Aryan Khan’s high-value transaction in Delhi is distinctive.
The Economic Times also notes that other Bollywood legends have been active in the Delhi real estate market. Amitabh Bachchan, for example, recently sold his property in Gulmohar Park, South Delhi, for around Rs. 23 crores, as highlighted by Pradeep Prajapati of the boutique real estate consultancy firm Wealthvisory Capital.
In addition to his real estate ventures, Aryan Khan is gearing up for his directorial debut with a series titled "Stardom." This six-episode web show will feature cameos from Bollywood A-listers, each playing themselves. It has been reported that Shah Rukh Khan visited the set of the show on its first day of shooting. A major portion of "Stardom" was filmed at Dharma Productions, a location frequented by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan during the course of the shoot. This ambitious project marks Aryan’s entry into the entertainment industry, mirroring his family’s influential presence in Bollywood.
